How do I browse a document (by page, by message)?

We provide several options to browse a document:

  • Browse with pagination
  • Browse by messages
  • Browse by pages

How do I browse a document with pagination?

The pagination element is placed in the document header. It shows the active page you are on and the total number of pages.

We provide three options to navigate the document:

  • Click the Next icon to move to the next page.
  • Click the Previous icon to move to the previous page.
  • Click the page number (ex.: “1 of 12”) to edit the active page; type the page you want to go and press Enter.

How do I browse a document by messages?

You first need to display the document right-pane by clicking . Then, click to activate the Message pane.

The Message pane shows all activity (comments and edits) made on the document:

  • Most recent activity is on top.
  • Each entry shows the author of the comment, the date it was posted, and a snippet of the comment (rollover over it to see it in full).
  • New entries since your last visit are highlighted with a yellow background.

Clicking on a comment entry inside the Message pane takes you to the document section that was commented and loads the discussion thread.

Clicking on an edit entry inside the Message pane takes you to the document section that was edited and formats the modified section as a Diff so you can see what the author changed.

How do I browse a document by page navigation?

You first need to display the document right-pane by clicking . Then, click to activate the Page pane.

The Page pane shows one thumbnail per page. If your document is 100 pages long then you’ll see 100 numbered thumbnails.

The Page pane comes with several useful features:

  • The active page is highlighted in yellow.
  • Clicking on a page thumbnail loads that page.
  • Comments and edits icons are shown next to each page thumbnail.
  • New activity since your last visit is highlighted next to each page thumbnail.
