My credit card was declined. What should I do?

Your card may have been declined for one of the following reasons:

  • The cardholder’s name does not match the name on the card. Make sure you entered the exact name as shown on the card.
  • The number is inaccurate. Make sure you entered the correct number.
  • The card is expired. Use a current card.
  • The security code is invalid (this is a 3 digit code located on the back of Visa, Master Card, and Discover credit cards. For American Express cards, it is a 4 digit security code located on the front of the card). Make sure you entered the correct number.

Please contact the credit card issuing company or your bank for questions relating to your credit card or to investigate reasons of refusal.
